Singaporean singer JJ Lam will release a new album "Xi Jie" on Saturday with a black and white striking cover designed by Japanese artist Mitsuo Shindo. The star drops his former sunny boy style this time and adopts a more mature and cool style. Tailored by Singaporean lyrics writer Lin Qiuli, songs in this album dig into the good and evil of humans, China's website Sohu.com reports. It reports the album cover features two face-to-face photos of JJ Lam in black costumes and makeup to convey a kind of dialogue between the souls. The black bird rests on JJ Lam is a metaphor of the evil deep in the human heart. Chinese musician Wang Yong was invited to play a short melody of Gu Zheng, a Chinese zither, on the opener of the album. JJ Lam will promote the album in the Chinese mainland around the middle of July after touring in Taiwan. (credits to asianfanatics)
